SENIOR CAD TECHNICIAN [2023-01]
Civil Consultants provides land planning and civil engineering services to public and private clients in North Carolina. We are seeking a qualified CAD Technician for our Durham, North Carolina office.
Candidates must be able to successfully work in a team environment to assist engineers and other designers in the preparation of design drawings and supporting documents for civil site and land development projects, using CAD and other types of software. Candidates with a survey or construction background are encouraged to apply. This position offers significant opportunity for advancement for a motivated individual who demonstrates strong technical capabilities and interpersonal qualities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Geomatics, Survey Technology, or similar program
- 5 years of experience in CAD drafting, surveying, or related field.
- Orientation to detail, precision and thoroughness
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D software and GIS applications
- Experience using commonly used computer software such as Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work for in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Candidates must be able to successfully work in a team environment to assist engineers and other designers in the preparation of design drawings and supporting documents for civil site and land development projects, using CAD and other types of software. This position offers significant opportunity for advancement for a motivated individual who demonstrates strong technical capabilities and interpersonal qualities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- An ABET accredited Associates or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Engineering.
- Orientation to detail, precision and thoroughness
- Working knowledge of horizontal layout and vertical design
- Familiarity AutoCAD Civil 3D software and GIS applications
- Proficiency in commonly used computer software such as Word, Excel, Outlook
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license
